Brussels ring roadworks: Further disruption to Leonard crossroads from 5 August
Motorists are warned of further disruption to traffic on the Brussels ring from 5 August when the Flemish Roads and Traffic Agency (AWV) begins a new stage in ongoing work to Leonard tunnel.
The entrance of the tunnel on the outside of the ring in the direction of Zaventem will be restricted to one lane until 18 August, reports Belga. Road users travelling from Waterloo should expect longer journey times.
There is already considerable disruption to motorists using the Brussels ring. Tailbacks occur between Tervuren and the busy Leonard intersection as only one lane is accessible from the ring to the E411 motorway in the direction of Luxembourg.
Drivers are warned that roadworks to the interior of the ring will continue until November, two weeks longer than initially announced. As the work is dependent on favourable weather conditions, further delays could occur.

Par for the course. I am waiting for the announcement that these roadworks won't be completed until sometime in 2025.
