Environment Festival attracts more than 25,000 visitors
Between 25,000 and 30,000 people attended the first Environment Festival at Brussels' Park Cinquantenaire on Sunday, according to Environment Brussels. The festival replaces the traditional Environment Party, and includes a wider range of fun and interactive activities, writes Bruzz. The main themes were recycling and healthy eating.
The festival kicked off on Friday with the first edition of BEL Movie Day, an environmental film festival and competition themed 'Good Food'. About 600 people came to Tour and Taxis for the festival's seven film screenings. The film Food Coop by American director Tom Booth won first prize at the festival: a €3,000 grant to use towards the distribution of his film.
