Extras needed for Belgian scenes in BBC adaptation of Les Miserables
Join British actors Dominic West, David Oyelowo and Lily Collins on the set of the Victor Hugo drama, to be filmed in various locations in Belgium between 19 February and July.
Francophone film social media platform Cinevox is calling for men and women, aged 17 to 70, to appear in scenes in each location.
Filming is due to take place in the following towns and cities: Enghien, Brussels, Namur (end of March), Ecaussines, Sedan (April), and Limburg (March). The drama will also be filmed in northern France.
Applicants need to send their photo, measurements, contact details and preferred location to Cinevox. Successful candidates will attend a costume fitting in Brussels before the start of filming. They will be paid €40 expenses for each day of filming, plus €20 for the fitting.
Directed by Tom Shankland, the six-part series is a non-musical adaptation of the French classic by award-winning screenwriter Andrew Davies. According to the BBC website, he says: “This is such an intense and gut-wrenching story and I am delighted that this esteemed ensemble of actors will be bringing it to life.
