15:30 17/02/2023

Fans of the iconic sitcom Friends are in for a treat as an itinerant exhibition of the show opens in Brussels on 31 March, running until 18 June.

After gaining popularity in US cities such as New York, Chicago and Boston, the Friends Experience transferred to Europe, providing an opportunity to return to a comical 1990s New York fondly remembered by fans all over the world.

The first stop in Paris was a huge success, drawing 150,000 visitors in three months. Now coming to Brussels, the exhibition offers visitors an immersive experience with hyper realistic sets recreating some of the best episodes in the series.

Twelve scenes will be spread around the 9,000 m² space in Brussels Expo’s Palais 4. They enable Warner Brothers to remodel as closely as possible some of the famous film sets. These include the fountain depicted in every intro and the apartments of Chandler and Joey, Rachel and Monica. One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the Central Perk coffee shop and its famous orange sofa.

The staging also boast iconic details, instantly recognisable to visitors as they walk into each space. Sit in Chandler and Joey’s Barcaloungers, beat a friend in a game of Foosball and take a picture in front of Pheobe’s very own New York taxi.

Tickets on sale from 22 February (€26.50 for adults; €22.50 for children).
