Les Petits Riens workers strike over restructuring

Workers at Les Petits Riens charity have gone on strike, with a dozen workers at the non-profit organisation’s shops and reception centres tendering their resignation.

The strike initially began at the organisation's sorting centre in Anderlecht last Friday, with about 50 employees taking part.

Unions cite a lack of social consultation at the non-profit over a restructuring plan involving some 20 redundancies, most of them in the sorting centre.

Since Tuesday morning, workers have formed a picket line, including employees from Les Petits Riens shops and reception centres.
