Major works on trams 92 and 93 until autumn
From today, Brussels’ public transport operator Stib is carrying out extensive works on tram lines 92 and 93.
As a result, passengers will not be able to travel between the Louise and Parc on either line until autumn 2025. Tram line 93 will also not run between Parc and Jules de Trooz.
The work is needed as the capital’s Place Royale is being transformed into a partially pedestrian zone. In addition, the tram tracks on Rue de la Régence between the Poelaert and Royale stops are worn and need replacing.
The Poelaert and Petit Sablon stops will be served by bus 33, while buses 38, 71 and 95 will continue to stop at Place Royale.
Passengers wanting to go to the Botanique from Louise are advised to use metro lines 2 and 6.
Stops between Parc and Sainte-Marie are served by tram line 92, stops Lefrancq and Liedts will continue to be served by tram 25 and 62, and Masui, near the canal and bordering Laeken, can be accessed by bus 58.
The works effectively split tram lines 92 and 93 into two separate sections. To travel easily between both parts of line 93, Stib recommends using metro line 6 between Louise and Bockstael.
The Noctis bus lines that go to Petit Sablon will be operated normally while the works are being carried out.
Full details are available on the Stib website.
