Miniature flower carpet laid at Mini-Europe
Ahead of this summer's Flower Carpet on the Grand-Place in Brussels, the Mini Europe theme park has rolled out a small-scale version.
The life-sized red carpet decorates the city in August, but fans of the floral display can enjoy it in miniature in the meantime.
“People can already admire in our park the miniature version of the Flower Carpet on a scale of 1/25,” said Vinciane Meeùs, chief executive of Mini-Europe.
“You can admire the miniature version of the carpet at Mini-Europe for another two years.”
The 23rd edition of the Brussels flower carpet will be on display on the Grand-Place from 15 to 18 August this year.
The 1,600m² carpet will consist of fresh Kempen dahlias in a variety of colours.
The floral artwork is the result of a collaboration of artists, gardeners and volunteers from all over Belgium.
The 2024 edition comes with an updated concept thanks to a collaboration with Liège-based street art artist Océane Cornille.
