New Balls & Glory coming to pedestrian zone
Belgian restaurant chain Balls & Glory will open a new location next to the Bourse, at the heart of the Brussels pedestrian zone, writes Bruzz. The chain, first launched in Ghent by chef Wim Ballieu, has since spread to Antwerp, Leuven, Eindhoven and Rue de Laken in Brussels.
Ballieu chose the pedestrian zone for his second Brussels location in the hopes that the restaurant will cause "a positive chain reaction around the Bourse, because people attract people."
The new Balls & Glory is scheduled to open on 7 July at the site of the former restaurant Prego, after a thorough renovation. "There will be an open kitchen near the entrance. The interior will be sleek and industrial, but on the outside we will respect the Unesco-protected facade with glass canopy,” Ballieu told Bruzz.
Balls & Glory specialises in oversized stuffed meatballs with stoemp.
