United for Ukraine: Outdoor charity evening at the Atomium on Thursday
Brussels’ clubbing and festival scene comes together for an evening of dance and solidarity to raise cash for victims of the war in Ukraine on 10 March.
A host of live entertainment organisations are staging the open-air charity evening at the foot of Belgium’s iconic Atomium, from 16.00 to 22.00.
Setting the beat will be live DJ sets from Belgian artists. All ticket sales and proceeds from the bar are going to Underground4Ukraine, which is in direct contact with grassroot activists providing essential aid and support to people in Ukraine.
Participants are invited to bring along flags, banners and any other strong visual messages of support.
“Let’s unite and send a clear message that violence is never the answer. Let’s show the world the Belgian underground stands united against war,” said organisers in a statement.
They include Paradise City, Hangar, Voodoo Village, Core, Listen, Fuse, C12, Mirano, Couleur Café, Rave Rebels, Nuits sonores & European Lab Brussels, La Cabane and Kiosk Radio.
Tickets cost €15 with everyone encouraged to donate more if they can. And for anyone with time to give, organisers are still looking for volunteers to help out at the event.
