Winter sales in Belgium start on 3 January

Winter sales begin in Belgium on Tuesday and run until 31 January, although promotions have already started in many stores and on online sites.

January is one of only two periods in the year when shops are legally allowed to sell products at a loss to clear stock.

The dates for both periods are carefully regulated by the country’s economy department to offer stores four full weeks of promotions.

Summer sales in Belgium in 2023 will begin on 1 July and end on 31 July.
