American community – and friends – gather for small-scale convivial celebration in Brussels on 4 July

Following the 250th anniversary extravaganza in Cinquantenaire park last Sunday, a more intimate – and certainly less controversial – celebration of US independence will be held on 4 July. 

Americans and friends plan a festive evening of barbecue, live music and family fun at the David Lloyd Uccle health and fitness club.

The event will feature a classic American-style barbecue with a variety of grilled meat, including burgers and hot dogs, as well as vegetarian options and an unlimited salad bar.

The country and western band The Virginia Reels is set to provide musical entertainment and invite everyone to burn off the calories after by dancing a do-si-do.

All adult attendees will receive a complimentary day pass to enjoy David Lloyd Uccle’s state-of-the-art fitness, spa, pool and sports facilities for a future visit.

The event runs from 17.30 to 23.00. Admission is free for kids aged under eight. As space is limited, advance ticket purchase is advised.
