Brussels Airlines expands its network to arctic region in Norway and Finland this winter

Brussels Airlines has announced new flights to Evenes (Norway) and Kemi and Kittilä (Finland) as part of its winter timetable.  

Flights to Kittilä will be offered three times per week between 10 December  and 27 March, while flights to Kemi are available twice a week between 25 December  and 10 March. The Norwegian city of Evenes is offered as a destination once a weekl between February and March.

This launch is part of the increased popularity to spend the winter holidays in the arctic region. Nordland and Lapland offer unspoiled natural landscapes and are ideal for observing the northern lights. 

“Brussels Airlines has been offering these winter wonderland destinations in cooperation with travel agencies, but as demand grows, flights to the region will from now on also be offered as scheduled passenger flights, allowing travelers even more choice to discover outdoor adventures and distinctive local culture,” explained Greet Vandebos, the airline’s head of leisure sales. 

Demand in the aviation industry is mainly seasonal with the summer months being the peak period. That’s why since 2024, Brussels Airlines has been offering destinations in the Canary Islands and Madeira during the winter.
