Eight new bicycle parking projects chosen for Brussels
The Bikes in Brussels Fund, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation, has selected eight bicycle parking projects in seven Brussels municipalities, costing a total amount of €94,235, the foundation announced on Wednesday.
New bicycle parks in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Ixelles, Anderlecht, Etterbeek, Schaerbeek, Uccle and Brussels will allow more people to opt for cycling as a preferred means of travel in the capital.
The projects have been submitted from the public authorities, associations and schools in the Brussels region.
This new development brings the number of initiatives promoting cycling in Brussels supported by the Fund to 53 since its creation at the end of 2018. So far, the total amount spent is more than €4 million.
