Belgium through to Eurovision final

The semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest this week in Vienna was an exciting one for Belgium, with Belgium’s Loïc Nottet receiving the last ticket to the final round on Saturday.

In the semifinal round, 17 countries competed for a coveted place in the final, to which only ten countries are allowed through. Belgian fans were on the edge of their seat until the very last minute, when it was announced that Nottet would go through. He was the last artist to qualify for Saturday’s final round.

The 19-year-old French-speaking Nottet will represent Belgium on Saturday with “Rhythm Inside”, a song he wrote himself. He also designed his own outfit and did his own choreography for the event.
