Project proposals sought for the landscaping of Place Flagey
The municipality of Ixelles is looking for a team to carry out a study for the landscaping of Place Flagey and Place Sainte-Croix. "The square does not meet the current needs for the green transformation of public space," according to the office of the Brussels chief architect.
The plans to make Place Flagey and Place Sainte-Croix greener have to do with the current needs in the municipality. "We want to tackle the areas responsible for warming and generating heat, manage rain and run-off water, but also provide shady outdoor space for different uses," the chief architect’s spokesperson said.
"A plan must be submitted to improve the quality of the greenery on Place Flagey and Place Sainte-Croix," the spokesperson added. "Finally, an application for the urban planning permit must be applied for."
Interested parties can apply to the Brussels chief architect until 7 September.

Improve the quality? Maybe start by just improving the quantity...
