13:13 27/02/2023

Award-winning British rapper Little Simz joins the star-studded line-up at CORE Festival, which is staged in Brussels on 27 and 28 May.

The announcement follows the 28-year-old British-Nigerian artist’s stunning performance of her song Heart on Fire with Joan Armatrading at the 2023 BAFTAs. It’s from her latest album No Thank You, which was released last December. The singer won a BRIT Award and Mercury prize for her previous album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.

Describing her style as experimental and rap, Simz promises to deliver a breathtaking show at Osseghem Park on 27 May, performing alongside brilliant international artists as well as Belgian talents.

Other new artists added to the line-up are: Eliza Rose, PinkPantheress and Yussef Dayes (27 May); Channel Tres, Joy Orbison and Olivia Dean (28 May).

They join confirmed names: alt-J, Angèle, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Denis Sulta, DOMi & JD Beck, Goldband, HAAi, Honey Dijon, KOKOROKO, NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge), Romy, The Blessed Madonna and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

The two-day boutique event is a collaboration between Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter, two of Belgium and Europe’s biggest festivals. The Brussels spin-off offers a diverse programme of pop, indie, live electronic music, hip hop and alternative dance. Festivalgoers will also enjoy an immersive experience that combines music, nature and art.

A successful first edition at the green woodland site in the shadow of the landmark Atomium tourist attraction, drew some 40,000 visitors in 2022.

Day passes are priced at €82 (comfort pass €123), weekend passes are €147 (comfort pass €227). All prices include service fee and mobility contribution.
