SNCB lays on additional trains to the coast

Belgium’s national railway company SNCB is continuing to run additional trains to the coast on Wednesday, due to an influx of visitors taking advantage of the sunny weather.

Eight extra trains are making the round trip on the following lines: Brussels Midi-Ostend, Leuven- Ostend, Leuven-Blankenberg and Hasselt-Blankenberg, it confirmed.

With temperatures reaching 30°C, SNCB has stepped up its schedule since Tuesday in a bid to absorb the high number of travellers heading at the coast.

The company asks passengers to prepare their journey in advance and to regularly consult its online app.
