The consultation of young people aged 16 to 30 on the issue of climate issues began Monday in Wallonia with the launch of an online questionnaire. "Give your voice for the climate" is part of the participatory process set up by the region to involve citizens in the update of the Air Climate Energy Plan (Pace), which includes a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030.

The Youth Forum, an official advisory and representative body of people aged 16 to 30 in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, has been mandated to organise the consultation and analyse the results.

The online questionnaire invites people to share problems they have noticed in areas such as transport, housing, consumption, production and studies. The respondent is then invited to formulate possible solutions to the problems.

Several consultation actions will accompany the launch of this questionnaire in order to collect as many opinions and ideas as possible.

"The results of the consultations will be compiled into a report that will be used to update the Air Climate Energy Plan and feed into future calls for projects,” the Youth Forum said. “A day to discuss the results of this consultation with young people will also take place in the spring."
