Americans in Brussels unite for Independence Day celebration 5 July

In a show of unity and tradition during increasingly polarised times, Americans in Belgium and friends will come together on 5 July to celebrate their Independence Day with a festive evening of barbecue, music and family fun.

Hosted by the @seven International Community in partnership with Democrats Abroad Belgium and the American Club of Brussels, the party will take place on the scenic terrace of the David Lloyd Uccle health club (or indoors in case of rain).

Despite the challenging political and social climate in the United States, this event offers Americans abroad an opportunity to reconnect, reflect and celebrate the values of independence and community that unite them.

The evening will feature a classic American-style barbecue with grilled meat including burgers and hot dogs, as well as vegetarian options and an unlimited salad bar. A DJ will provide the musical entertainment with classic American tunes. In addition, all adult attendees will receive a complimentary day pass to enjoy David Lloyd Uccle’s state-of-the-art fitness, spa, pooland sports facilities on a future visit.
