Several metro entrances closed due to terror threat
As a result of the continued raised terror alert level across Belgium, Brussels public transport company STIB has announced the temporary closure of some of the metro entrances. The metro itself will continue service as usual, writes Bruzz.
STIB on Saturday limited the number of access points to five metro stations at the request of the police, in order to allow for more vigilant passenger control.
The following metro accesses are therefore closed until further notice:
Bourse: All accesses to and from Boulevard Anspach between Rue des Pierres and Rue des Teinturiers, and Rue Auguste Orts
Botanique: Boulevard du Jardin Botanique and Finance Tower
Yser: the three entrances at the side of Porte d'Anvers
De Brouckère: Place de Brouckère and UGC
Rogier: Place Rogier
