The Brussels-Capital Region has launched an information website related to the Ukrainian crisis, including details on how refugees can find housing, transportation, employment, schools for their children and resources related to health services.

Helpukraine.brussels is intended to serve as a communication and information platform that brings together “all the forces at work” in Brussels regarding the ongoing conflict. “The war in Ukraine is having major repercussions throughout Europe,” the website explains.

“This is also the case in the Brussels-Capital Region where the humanitarian crisis has led to an unprecedented influx of Ukrainian refugees. This situation requires that all the driving forces of the Brussels Region act together to best respond to the tragedy of Ukrainian families fleeing the war.”

The web platform, set up by Brussels Prevention and Security (BPS), aims to bring together available and relevant information in all the regional areas of competence.

“It contains all the information from the regional and local administrations and public services relating to the reception of Ukrainian nationals and the impact of the conflict in Ukraine on our region,” explained Brussels’ minister-president Rudi Vervoort.

“The site is available in five languages, including Ukrainian and Russian, and is aimed at Ukrainian nationals, but also at Brussels citizens, local authorities and aid services seeking information.”

Federal authorities have also opened a call centre that can be contacted daily from 9.00 to 17,00 via the number 02.488.88.88.
