Brussels Muzieque concert features the Schumann Quartett on 28 May
Join Brussels Muzieque for a concert with the acclaimed Schumann Quartet at Cercle Gaulois in Brussels for an unforgettable evening of melodic masterpieces on 28 May.
The Brussels chamber music collaborative’s musicians Sarah Oates, Nadja Nevolovitsch, Adèle Ginestet and Eduardo Tonietto will be performing alongside the international string octet, which is based in Germany.
Staged in the prestigious Caryathide Hall of the Cercle Gaulois, the concert will begin with Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 4 in C minor, Op. 18. The work, part of Beethoven's first set of quartets, is known for its structural clarity and dynamic contrasts, reflecting the composer’s early mastery in the genre.
The programme concludes with Enescu’s String Octet in C major, Op. 7, composed when George Enescu was aged just 19. This piece is notable for its complex counterpoint and the ambitious integration of a symphonic approach within chamber music.
Tickets are priced at €40; €25 for students.
